Solving Linear Equations: A Step-by-Step Guide

Solving the equation means the values of x and y need to be found that satisfies both the given equation. It has 2 variables x, y and the condition is also given.
There are a lot of methods to solve the equation easiest method is the (elimination method).

Step 1: Align the Equations
2x – 3y = 6 —(1)
x + y = 1 —(2)

Step 2: Make Coefficients Equal
Make the coefficient of any one variable (x or y) same
When you substitute the value of x and y in equation 1 and 2 it satisfies both the equations.
When you plot a graph for these 2 equations, the intersection of these 2 equations will be the value of x and y.
Linear equations represent lines.

Step 3: Plot the Solution
The intersection point of the two lines represents the solution to our system of equations.
