The word “Geometric”may suggest complexity at first glance but it actually refers to some of the
most fundamental mathematics that influence our daily lives, such as shape ,size , dimension ,
line, and surfaces. The term “Geometry” is formed from two Greek roots : “Geo”,which denotes Earth, and “metros”, which signifies Measurement. “Children’s form a line”. “Stand straight and stiff . It’s a National Anthem”
We have often listened to our teachers ordering us the above shown statement as an order in
our school assemblies. Is it?.
What does it really mean in terms of Mathematics?
Well let’s define the term as a line.
● A Line is a formalization of more than one point or joining many numbers of points.A
line is a straight one -dimensional figure it may extend in two directions with infinitely .It
can be denoted by 2 points or in the equation of a plane .
● A line segment should contain two points which are a starting point and the ending
point .
Now take a pause. Look around yourself. Try to find more examples for line segments from your
surroundings.
Let me give you a sample: Mark any two points A and B on a sheet of paper. Try to connect A to
B by all possible routes.
Ans: A———–B
Draw a horizontal line.

Lets drive deep into the chapter to level up.
A story to link with the concept:
● Scene describe two friends ,Mia and Aryan , who said reside in the
same on
● On a sunny morning ,they made the decision to go shopping .
● They decided to have a challenge between them to choose different
routes. It is amusing to note that they crossed the same road at
precisely the same location.
● Now , let us interpret this scenario as a geometric lesson:
● The Road : Envision the road as a flat surface or plane .
● Their Paths: The routes taken by Mia and Aryan can be likened to two
straight lines.
● The crossing point : The location where Mai and Aryan intersected on
the road is referred to as the intersection point , where both line
coverage
What Happens in 3D Geometry?
In the context of our story ,two lines are covered at a designated point .
In contrast ,three dimensional geometry reveals a captivating event when two
planes intersect ,
These planes resemble enormous sheets of paper adrift in space .
When they meet , they do not simply intersect at a point ,as friends might on
a road .
Instead ,they establish a straight line !
Lets work on detail understanding over this. Stay tuned.
